The Streetwires’ project was born in 2000 with 2 main objectives:
- Struggling the South African plague : unemployment;
- Promoting wire and beads craft art.
Streetwires isn’t a charity; started in 2000, it’s a real company which guarantees sustainable employment and wage for the artists. Streetwires made and market a large range of wire art products. You can learn more about wire art in that post.
Today, this Proudly African Project is providing the skills training, support and raw materials necessary to enable over 120 formerly jobless men and women ton channel their natural creative energies into this vibrant art form.
Proudly South African is an exciting campaign to promote South African companies, products and services which are helping to create jobs and economic growth in this country.
